Malda district is a backward district declared by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Govt. of India. Moreover, north Malda is more backward than south Malda. The majority of its inhabitants are of village dwelling poor Muslims and other backward community people. According to different Government reports (Sachar, Mishra, etc. Committee), the Muslim community in India is a backward community; their socio-economic condition is even worse than that of the Scheduled Castes!
Education is the only key to all progress. Government schools are turned into such an institution where good education is a far cry. People have lost faith in these. Whereas private schools are doing more business with education, they are least concerned for society or for the quality of education. In this scenario the condition of the majority population in this rural area, particularly those who are generally poor, is pathetic! Considering this hopeless state of the most backward population, Professor (Dr.) Md. Afsar Ali, son of the soil of this area, resolved to cater to quality education to our upraising generations. Because, in this globalized world, not more education, but the exceptionally high quality of education is essential to succeed in world-wide stiff competition for one’s survival.
In this background M. J. INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (MJIS)is established at this most backward area on 2nd January 2016 for uplifting the most backward citizens of this country.
On 1st June 2019 the School is shifted on its 0.5-acre own land and building in vast open greenery adjacent to the main road and on the bank of fresh village-streamSatmoniya.
